Victor Velyan

Victor Velyan is an Armenian-connected fine jewellery designer whose distinctive creations combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression. Beginning his career as a diamond setter in 1984, Velyan developed extensive expertise in jewellery making before establishing his own manufacturing studio in Los Angeles in 1995.

Inspired by history, nature, and cultures from around the world, Velyan has developed a signature aesthetic defined by sculptural forms, richly coloured gemstones, and distinctive finishes. His work brings together precious metals, including gold and silver, with stones such as opals, turquoise, and tourmaline.

Each piece is handcrafted in his Los Angeles atelier, where traditional techniques such as hand-forging and repoussé are combined with innovative surface treatments and meticulous attention to detail. His signature use of coloured patinas creates striking contrasts between metal and gemstone, giving his jewellery a distinctive, artistic character.
